Louisiana is a state located in the southern region of the United States. Much of it was formed from sediment washed down the Mississippi River, leaving enourmous deltas and vast areas of coastal marsh and swamp. These contain a rich southern biota; typical examples include birds such as ibis and egrets. The Louisiana may properly be divided into two parts, the uplands of the north, and the alluvial along the coast. The alluvian region includes low swamp lands, coastal marshlands and beaches, and barrie islands. Featuring humid subtropical climate, the state is perhaps the most classic example of this type of weather with long, hot, humid summers and short, mild winters. The state has much to offer for tourists being a home to many cultures, including Creoles and Cajuns. Besides a great heritage, spa services is also available in many cities while quite a few out-of-town resorts are providing spa holidays.
